Three Books, including two Novels about Direct Democracy

5thavenueartist

I've just unleashed my third book on Direct Democracy, titled "GRASSROOTS," because apparently, I enjoy watching people try to run their own countries while I sit back and take notes.

Part II of the Thomas Mercer Series

It's the second instalment in a series that trails the adventures of Thomas Mercer, a British businessman who's somehow found himself obsessed with the idea that the Swiss might be onto something with their whole "people power" thing.

This book picks up where "ENLIGHTENED" left off, with Thomas trotting across Switzerland, having deep chats with regular folks who somehow manage to keep their government in check without descending into chaos.

Along the way, he even faces off with a metaphorical dragon—because what's a philosophical journey without a little fantasy? This dragon, unsurprisingly, bears an uncanny resemblance to the bureaucratic beasts that make democracy feel like a wrestling match with a brick wall. 😬

If you've ever wondered whether there's a way to make those in power actually answer to the people, "ENLIGHTENED" and "GRASSROOTS" might just be the lightbulb moments you're looking for. 💡💡💡

These b0ooks dive into the Swiss model of direct democracy—a system so unique and people-centric, it'll make you question why the rest of the world insists on making things so complicated. Think of it as a shield against globalism, or at the very least, a good reason to believe that true democracy isn’t just a fairy tale. 😆
